Hello and Welcome

We're The Beacon Community Collective CIC - a team with years of experience working alongside the community of Walworth and the surrounding areas.

From securing funding through successful grant applications to delivering hands-on, people-led projects, we've helped turn community ideas into real change. Now as a Community Interest Company (CIC), we're building on that track record to create even more opportunities for connection, pride, and possible action in and around SE17.

We believe in listening, collaborating, and building together - especially when it comes to the challenges people face day to day. Whether it’s wellbeing, inclusion, local resources, or just finding space to connect - we want to be part of the solution, with the community at the centre of everything we do.

What we’re about

We’re a not-for-profit group set up to:

• Support wellbeing and mental health

• Build connections between local people

• Create inclusive, people-led projects

• Champion positive change in SE17 and beyond

Right now, we’re starting the way we mean to go on - by listening.

What’s happening next?

We’re beginning by connecting with local people who have lived experience of life in Walworth and Southwark — the everyday experts on what’s working, and what’s not.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be hosting open sessions where people can meet, talk, and shape what The Beacon becomes.
